Schoolchildren visited METRUM office withinin event “Think differently! More scientifically!”

Keywords of the event are knowledge, scientist, science, ideas, innovations, initiative and entrepreneur.Schoolchildren and their teachers from 33 schools supported by the project take part in the event in order to meet – during two days – scientists of Latvia, to visit different laboratories and companies, to learn what weekday of a scientist is, what skills and knowledge are required in a scientist’s work, how new scientific discoveries are invented, how modern companies work.On February 3rd and 4th, the schoolchildren and teachers visited 13 various research institutions and laboratories, as well as seven different companies: JSC “Grindeks”, JSC “Latvijas Finieris”, JSC “Dzintars”, LLC “„METRUM”, “SAF Tehnika”, the Botanical Garden of Latvian University and LLC “Lango”.The event was opened on February 3rd at 10.30 a.m. in the Large Hall of Latvian University.
