Aerial photographing un aerial laser scanning of Canary Islands

In 2009 and 2010, METRUM Ltd. carried out high-resolution aerial photographing and aerial laser scanning of surface and relief on the territory of 9,000 square kilometres of the Canary Islands via applying the corporate aircraft. METRUM aircraft and the equipment provide gathering of photographic and laser scanning data simultaneously thus progress of data obtaining process is remarkably advanced and work completion time is shortened.Running of the works was subject to various restrictions, as the Canary Islands are popular travel destinations with frequent air traffic; the Islands house several nature parks protected by flight restrictions, as well as a military landfill.The data obtained by METRUM were used to produce various types of cartographic materials.
