‘’METRUM’’ – the most recognizable land surveying company in Latvia

The research data shows that people aged 15–74 consider «METRUM» to be the most recognizable land surveying company – it is recognized by 22% of inhabitants of Latvia. «METRUM» is best recognized in the regions of Kurzeme and Latgale.The runner-up is «Latvijas Valsts mērnieks» – recognized by 12% of inhabitants of Latvia – followed by «Latvijas mērnieku grupa» with 10%. Other companies of this field are recognized by less than 5% of inhabitants of Latvia.«METRUM» is among the newest land surveying and territorial planning companies in Latvia, having been established only in 2005. «From several tens of surveyors we have grown to a team of 360 professionals in all regions of Latvia. We are glad about the results of this research, however they also show that potential clients must receive access to much broader information about the companies of this field,» emphasizes Aivars Gontarevs, «METRUM» marketing manager.Similarly to last year, «METRUM» has planned various informative campaigns for this year, which could help people both understand the issues of legislation connected with land surveying, and orient themselves in the services provided by the field’s companies. «If people lack information and have no opinion on the field as a whole, their options are limited, and that, of course, also affects the competitive capacity of the field’s companies,» points out Mr Gontarevs.In total, within the framework of the research ordered by «METRUM», marketing and public opinion research centre SKDS surveyed 1058 respondents in Latvia in December of 2006, by conducting direct interviews. Stratified random selection was used for the survey, which is representative of all inhabitants of Latvia aged 15–74.
