Damage accounting

Forest resources have a high value in national economy therefore it is essential to define harm to the forest and losses. Forest area and value is decreasing due to forest fires, storms, vermin and cutting. Amount of losses is defined by processing laser scanning and aerophoto data. The data show amount of invasive (damaged) territories. Data of aerial photography is used to determine area of territories physically lost. Results are used to calculate territory, physical and financial losses. Metrum performs aerial photography, laser scanning and data processing with specific software.
