‘’METRUM’’ has commenced the territorial planning of Prauliena rural municipality of Madona region

At present, for the territorial planning project, terms and the cartographic materials necessary for work have been requested from the agencies indicated in the work task. The 1st stage of public discussion has already been announced, and will last through February 28.«There are quite a number of protected and picturesque areas in Madona region: natural parks, reserves, restricted areas and areas of protected landscapes. Within the framework of territorial planning, these places require environment evaluation, and therefore the period of planning development may take longer than usual,» points out Silvija Šīre, territorial planning project manager of ‘’METRUM’’ Madona branch.It is planned to complete the territorial planning of Prauliena rural municipality before the end of the year, when the municipality territorial planning development term set by the Cabinet of Ministers will end. Currently ‘’METRUM’’ is also developing two other territorial plans in Madona region. It is planned to complete the territorial planning of Mētriena rural municipality of Madona region by the end of March – its final public discussion stage has been announced. It is also planned to finish the territorial planning of Varakļānu town by the end of June.
