For the local government of Babīte, in the following 12 years, it is important to increase the number of inhabitants of the rural municipality, create a high-quality living environment for them, develop varied business activities and improve the nature and landscapes. These aspects have been included in the Babīte rural municipality development program for 2007-2019, prepared by territorial planning company “METRUM”.

“METRUM” is using its specialised airplane for creation of Saldus city orthophoto map
“METRUM” has concluded a purchase contract with Saldus city council regarding the creation of an orthophoto map, necessary to the city for territorial planning needs. In the map’s preparation, data obtained with the “METRUM” airplane PC-6 – currently the only specialised airplane of its kind in Latvia – will be used.

The introduction of this service is the company’s reaction to the government adopted regulations coming into effect on May 1, which will increase the price of the land surveying process for the rural land owners in Latvia by 30%.
